No longer identifying as daughter, sister, friend or lover.
Belonging wholly and completely to no one but herself.
A shiver ran through her body as she looked to the stars for company, overwhelmed with grief and loss.
The last shudders of awakening, the last pains of rebirth.
She smiled, remembering she chose this and began to run.
No longer homewards, no longer towards comfort, no longer backwards ... she simply ran.
Shedding all that no longer served her.
Straight into the wild, open armed, open hearted.
Kissing the earth with her feet, caressing the wind with her fingertips, dancing with the rhythm of the universe.
